About Amala College of Allied Health Sciences (ACAHS)

Amala College of Allied Health Sciences (ACAHS), established in 2015, is located in Amala Nagar, Thrissur—Kerala’s cultural capital. The college is affiliated to the Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS) and approved by the Directorate of Medical Education (DME) and the Government of Kerala.

Programs Offered

Postgraduate Programme

Master of Hospital Administration (MHA):
A two-year programme designed to develop future healthcare leaders with the skills and expertise required to manage modern healthcare organisations. The curriculum integrates rigorous academic coursework with practical, hands-on training to prepare graduates for leadership roles in hospital and healthcare administration.

Undergraduate Programmes

Bachelor of Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology (B. MRIT)

A four-year program, including a one-year internship, that trains students in advanced diagnostic imaging techniques and patient care. With extensive clinical practice in hospitals and diagnostic centers, students learn to operate sophisticated imaging equipment while ensuring safety and patient comfort. Graduates are trained to be ready to step into roles such as imaging technologists, MRI/CT technologists and ultrasound technicians in hospitals, diagnostic clinics, research centers, and other healthcare institutions.

 Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (B.MLS)

This four-year program is designed for students aspiring to careers in diagnostic and laboratory sciences. The program offers comprehensive training in laboratory techniques, medical diagnostics, and healthcare technologies, equipping students to take on critical roles in healthcare settings. The curriculum covers essential subjects such as clinical biochemistry, microbiology, haematology, immunology, molecular diagnostics, and laboratory management, ensuring graduates acquire both the theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed to excel in modern medical laboratories.
